NSG 100 - Introduction to Nursing Concepts

Introduces concepts of nursing practice and conceptual learning. Focuses on basic nursing concepts with an emphasis on safe nursing practice and the development of the nursing process. Provides supervised learning experiences in college nursing laboratories, clinical/community settings, and/or simulated environments. Lecture: 3 hours. Laboratory: 3 hours. Total: 6 hours per week. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $50.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $25.00 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.

Prerequisite(s): BIO 141 (or BIO 231).
