WEL 120 - Introduction to Welding 2 credits Introduces history of welding processes. Covers types of equipment, and assembly of units. Stresses welding procedures such as fusion, non-fusion, and cutting oxyacetylene. Introduces arc welding and plasma arc cutting. Emphasizes procedures in the use of tools and equipment. Lecture: 1 hour. Laboratory: 3 hours. Total: 4 hours per week. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.
Prerequisite(s): Pre- or Co-requisites: SAF 130 , WEL 150 (or MAC 181 ).
