WEL 164 - Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)

3 credits
Introduces practical operations in the use of tungsten arc welding and equipment. Studies equipment operation setup, safety, and practice of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG). Lecture: 2 hours. Laboratory: 3 hours. Total: 5 credits per week. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.

Prerequisite(s): SAF 130 , WEL 150  are prequisites or corequisites.
