MUS 147 - Applied Music Composition

1 credit
Teaches the fundamentals of music composition, including score notation software. Introduces basic manipulation of melodic and motivic composition devices, conscious use of texture, and basic knowledge of orchestration. Laboratory: 3 hours per week.

Prerequisite(s): MUS 101 , MUS 111 , or MUS 141 .
