EGR 231 - Mass and Energy Balances

3 credits
Introduces the field of chemical engineering and how material and enery balances are applied to chemical proceses, and physical and thermodynamic properties of multi-compnnent systems.  Lecture: 3 hours per week. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.

Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or higher in MTH 264 , EGR 121 , CHM 112 .
