Examines physical, chemical, and biological contaminants, transporters, methods of prevention, and monitoring practices to manage contamination risks in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Lecture: 3 hours per week. Laboratory: 3 hours per week. Total: 6 hours per week.

Prerequisite(s): BIO 147, BIO 165.
