CSC 195 - AI Foundations for Computer Science


3 credits
Introduces the basic principles of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its role in computer science and industry innovation. Topics include intelligent agents, reasoning, problem solving, and basic machine learning, presented through clear explanations and real-world examples. Students explore how computers stimulate intelligent behavior and make decisions through visual simulations, ethical case studies, and Python demonstrations.  Lecture: 3 hours per week.

Prerequisite(s): Grade “C” or higher in CSC 221.
