PURPOSE: Human services is a rapidly growing career area with a broad range of applications. Graduates will be able to work in a variety of mental health and social services fields. Students will be able to function effectively in therapeutic, medical, residential and rehabilitative settings. This specialization is intended for students who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in social work.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Students must meet JTCC admission requirements. Students may need to complete placement tests in English and mathematics. If students have deficiencies in English and/or mathematics, JTCC offers developmental and prerequisite courses to prepare students for the curriculum. New students should visit the Advising Center and returning students their faculty advisor for more information.
