PURPOSE: Project Management is a rapidly growing field relevant to many business areas, including information technology, engineering, contracting, or the nonprofit sector. The CSC is a completely online program for individuals who have already obtained a degree, those who wish to add to their credentials, and students who are concurrently pursuing an associate degree. The Project Management CSC feeds directly into the Business Management degree with a specialization in Project Management.
CREDENTIALS: A Career Studies Certificate (CSC) is a program of study typically less than one year in length with a major in a career-technical area. Students receiving a CSC intend to pursue immediate employment.
CREDIT FOR PRIOR LEARNING: The following CCWA course may be accepted as credit toward completion of this program:
- Project Management (PMP) Prep Course for BUS 295 (3 credits)

Note that in order to receive a CSC at least 25% of the coursework must be completed at Brightpoint.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Students must meet Brightpoint admission requirements. New students should work with their New Student Navigator to get ready for their first semester. They can also email getstarted@brightpoint.edu for assistance. Continuing students should work with their faculty advisor on academic planning and graduation requirements.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES: By the completion of this program, students will be expected to demonstrate an intermediate level of competency in the following skills:
- Demonstrate basic proficiency in creation of a project plan.
- Develop in depth project management competencies in needed for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects and programs.
- Prepare students for certification in project management via the Project Management Institute (PMI), CompTIA, or Google
