PURPOSE: This short-term program prepares students for entry into the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. This program is offered at the Chester Campus. All career-technical degrees are guided by advisory committees comprised of local business leaders. (The advisory committee for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing is in development and has not yet been linked.)
CREDENTIALS: A Career Studies Certificate (CSC) is a program of study typically less than one year in length with a major in a career-technical area. Students receiving a CSC intend to pursue immediate employment.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Students must meet Brightpoint admission requirements. New students should work with their New Student Navigator to get ready for their first semester. They can also email getstarted@brightpoint.edu for assistance. Continuing students should work with their faculty advisor on academic planning and graduation requirements.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES: By the completion of this program, students will be expected to demonstrate an intermediate level of competency in the following skills:
- Demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills required to begin a career as an entry-level technician in pharmaceutical manufacturing and related commercial enterprises.
- Demonstrate safety skills and knowledge as pertains to chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
- Communicate effectively through oral, written, and technological means to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and outcomes.
- Apply concepts and practices involved in maintaining quality standards in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
